How badly do you want it?

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out; the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. The brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They are there to stop the other people!” (Randy Pausch)

So, how badly do you want it?

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle… when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.”

What're the odds of all of them finishing at the same time?

For every winner there are thousands of losers. And you know why? Because there are that many competitive jerks out there. You don’t need to prove yourself to anybody. The only person you need to work hard in order to surpass is yourself. You only need to be better than yourself. If you can’t do more than one push-up and one day you do two, you are doing much better than that guy that does 300 every single day. You overcame your limitations.

“In Okinawa, belt mean no need rope to hold up pants!”

Life is tough. It’s especially tough when you have only yourself to rely on. But, guess what? You don’t need nothing else. Everything you need to make it is already in you. You have a body and you have a brain. So get up.

Make your dreams come trough with your own hands.
